Project, cost-center and app attribution

Tag requests with a project, cost center or app name, so finance can split spend beyond the user.

What it is

Callers can tag requests with X-Janus-Project and X-Janus-Cost-Center headers, and Janus records the calling application from X-Janus-Agent, X-Title or similar headers.

Why you want it

Chargeback needs more than a user name. Tags let finance split spend by project, and the app field tells agent harnesses apart when every SDK reports the same user agent.

How it works

  • Captured at admission and available as report dimensions
  • Treated as untrusted reporting labels, never as authorization
  • Client app shown as an optional column in the admin request log
