What it is
Optional automatic license renewal sync and an optional daily update check, both off by default.
Why you want it
Subscription customers can renew without carrying a new key to every gateway, and admins hear about new releases, while offline sites keep both switched off.
How it works
- Sync fetches renewed signed keys only; the endpoint is fixed and not configurable
- Update check sends only version, edition and instance id
- Both hard-off under JANUS_OFFLINE=true
